1870's Dresdan Plate C.Q.

I thought that I would share this antique CQ with ya'll. I think this design is very interesting. I could see a mordern version of this being quite neat - I may have to try to do one - someday :)

Oooo my that is beautiful! I love colours together.

I'm on the Summer stash Challenge too and thought I'd pop over and visit.

I couldn't help but laugh at your ducks. One of our Khaki Campbells kept going missing. We were getting people coming to visit our old house as it was for sale. On the day the people who eventually bought it came, "Pinky" (she had an unusual pink beak instead of brown) strode proudly across the lawn from the reeds by the nature pond to the proper duck pond followed by 16 little balls of duckling! We all fell about laughing as we'd been thinking of how to reduce the number of critters we had as we were going to be living in a town.

Sympathies with the hand sewing blocks- I foolishly started octagons and squares a year ago. I've finally finished.

Best Wishes,
Melanie
