You ever have one of those day's ??

Today has just been one of those day's for me today . Nothing has gone right for me today . As some of you may know I am trying to go to College on-line fron Northwestern here in Louisiana for a Bacholor of Pscy , well it's not going so well.From the start it has not gone well , it took almost a month to get Maine to fax the college my GED scores .Then after all that it's taken almost 3 weeks to get ahold of finacal aid just to find out that I need a whole bunch more forms filled out ! I have been trying to get my books all week long but still can't get aproval from finacial aid . Finacial aid is doing one of those random verifcations on me & it will be 4 to 6 weeks before that is done , I will have to drop out of the 3 classes that I am registered for :( I guess I'm going to have to hope that it all goes alright and I don't get charged for the classes because I just don't have the cash to pay them right now . I knew when the lady at the Registration office wanted to sign me up for the classes before I got ahold of Finacial Aide was a really bad idea. At this point I'm just a hair away from saying to hell with it all !! I'm going to have to call them Monday & tell them to drop me from those classes for this semester . I'm just so upset , maybe it's not ment for me to go back to school :(

Fall Block 2 - Some Cattails

I have gotten this much done on my fall block this week . I have 1 more mofit to put on this block then I will start doing the seams . I am wanting to finish this block this weekend and get # 3 ready to go .

Fan Colours

Yup I think I really do like them better on black , now I just cross my finger's that I have enough black for all the blocks . I think I will use this Rose fabric ( it's a litter darker in person ) for the sashing and I may even have enough for the backing too. I found another 4 1/2 yard of the rose fabric in my closet tonight so I thin in all I have 2 yards of the black & like 8 yards of the rose. Thank you to everyone who left me a comment on the other post ya'll are just wonderful !!!

A couple of Fans

Well this is as far as I have gotten with my new Fan quilt . It's going kinda slow as I also have the Fall C.Q. to work on & the Redwork RR. Also I had ro revise my pattern as the one that I had started out with was not working . These will be 9 inch blocks instead of 12 inch blocks but that's alright . Cheyenne has picked out the fabrics for these two fans and I think she has done a wonderful job for being 11 years old . I have a couple of questions for those of you who read my blog -

1. Should I make all the fan base's the same colour ( I have a medium grey ) or should the base's match the fan ?

2. Should I put the fans on some black satin or some light rose satin ?

3. Should I give ya'll pic's to see what they look like on each fabric ?

4. Should I do sashing or a straight set ?

Redwork RR - Shay's Blocks

These are Shay's blocks. The background fabric isn't really blue it's a bright white . These are from some vintage iron on patterns that Shay had - they are very pretty.

Voilet

This is Rat Pack's Voilet Whisper . Voilet is a 5 pound black tri . Her mother is Princess a sable & white that weighed 7 pounds and her daddy is Rusty a 5 pound choclate tri . Voilet is comming into heat , I checked her yesterday and she is in the 1st part of her cycle , she will be bred to Rat Pack's King of Hill otherwise know as Bo Jr. He is out of Rambo a 4 pound charcole tri & Ladybug a 6 pound black tri . Bo carries for Blue Merle , choclate & blue where Voilet carries for sable , choclate & blue . I am very intrested to see what they will produce . Voilet has had one litter and that litter was 2 blue frosted males . One of the males was stillborn and the other one she smothered at just under 2 weeks old . I am hopeing that this litter she does alot better with .

Fall Block #2 update

This is what I have done on the second fall block , I know that I want to put some wheat on this block now I just have to find a pattern of some wheat . I really like how the deer turned out but the horns are a little to light , I used a light creamish tan on the horns.

The Start

This is a new crazy quilt that I have started - someone please stop me I have no will power !!! This will be a 20 block quilt for my kid brother Corey & his wife Erika . I have never made anything for them & I thought it was about time I got off my rump & got started on it . I will be setting the fans on some white fancy fabric that I bought and it will have a deep rose coloured fabric for the sashing though I may have to change the rose fabric because I only bought 2 yards and it may take more than that to do the sashing . I'm not sure what colour I will do for the fan base maybe some black satin that I have but I'm not sure yet because I think I want to do some outline embroidery in each fan base but we'll see how it goes . Well I'm off to do some more fan blades . I hope to have the top done in a couple of months so I'm really gonna have to hustle on this one.

Redwork RR Update

This is the block that I stitched for Bette . I just love her patterns & her colour choices. Just awesome !!! I will be mailing this out to Shay on Friday when I get paid.
